RAMBLING

Bible – Ephesians 5:25 : “Husbands, love your wives just as Christ loved the church and gave His life for it:
1 Peter 3:1-7 : “Treat them with respect.”
Koran – Sura 4 ayah 34: “Men,your wives are your tillage. Go into your tillage anyway you want. Those you fear disloyalty and ill conduct from, first admonish them. Next, deny them sex. If they continue disobeying, beat them."
I HAVE RETURNED
No. I don't think so. I don't think issues of life are black and white -- or grey. Life is not that simple. Life is of many colors. Sometimes it's green, or blue, or yellow, even ,white . Life is a rainbow of many colors. I mean life is a bow: it's not a circle, it's a curve. Sometimes, it's concave, sometimes it's convex .When you get to the high point of the bow, be thankful you're still there. When you see two people or groups of people taking opposite sides vehemently on some issues, please stay away from them. Don't get involved because there may be another way.Your side may be another way.
Life is like a river. It's fluid, ebbs and flows. It's not glassy. When life appears as smooth as  glass, look out! It will throw back at you a reflection. The reflection you see  may be your own distorted image of self. Love the person who says bad things about you to you in your face. He or she may be telling you the truth ; the truth you don't want to hear. That's another way -- of looking at things.
I've been thinking of Meditation and Systematic Biblical Meditation.
Systematic Biblical Meditation Systematic Biblical Meditation is not apart from prayers, but integral part of prayers.  Prayers, petitions, intercession, thanksgiving, hymns of praises and worship are conversation with God.  Conversation is two-way exchange; it is not a one-way give-me, give-me, thank you FATHER ritual without considering to pause awhile and listen to the One at the destination of the one-way verbal traffic. When we pause to observe silence during prayers and allow our minds to contemplate God, we can hear from God. We hear from God when we listen. We have discernment. Hearing from God does not mean hearing voices in the head. The person who hears voices in the head had better listened to a Psychiatrist. Hearing from God is by inspiration and illumination.

The Prophet Elijah needed to hear from God; he did not hear the voice of God raging like strong wind. Elijah did not hear God’s voice rumbling like earthquake or blazing like wildfire; Elijah heard from God as a still small voice! Although God is God and can make himself heard through burning bush (Exodus 3:4), whirlwind (Job 38:1), earthquake (Exodus 19:18), thunder, (1 Samuel 2:10; Job 37:2; Psalm 104:7; John 12:29), flashes of lightning and peals of  thunder (Revelation 4:5). Biblical Meditators must not go out looking for the dramatic; Systematic Biblical Meditators must not set out to empty their minds, and concentrate on nothing, or allow their minds to wander or to focus on the present nonjudgmentally.
The world is full of evil; the person who allows the mind to wander to focus on the present nonjudgmentally, will allow good judgment and high morality to wander away while evil digs deep roots. Whether Edmund Burke said this or not, this is a wise saying, “All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” Systematic Biblical Meditation is an orderly, studied way of focusing on God and obeying God’s command as he told Joshua: This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein; for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success” (Joshua 1:8, KJV).
When God spoke to Joshua, “The book of the Law” consisted only of the Five Books of Moses, known in Hebrew to Jews as Torah -“The Law.” They were the books Moses wrote: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy. For Christians, the “book of the Law” is the entire Word of God, The Holy Bibleall the 1,189 chapters which all point to the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He is the focus of Biblical Meditators’ daily and nightly prayer lives. All are called to study the word. Say the word meaningfully and prayerfully without ceasing. Reflect on the word. Reflecting entails deeply thinking; pondering to gain understanding to do according to all that is written therein.
